... that today is the birthday of the Computer Mouse? In 1968, Douglas Engelbart demonstrated his new pointing device for computer users. In the patent application it was described as an "X-Y position indicator for a display system." Engelbart later revealed that it was nicknamed the "mouse" because the tail came out the end.
