... that today is Intense Tornado Day? In 1990, two tornadoes hit near Hesston, Kansas. The first tornado had winds of 200 to 250 miles per hour, while the second had winds of 300 to 350 miles per hour. Classed as an extreme F5, the second tornado was the most intense ever recorded.
