... that today is Elm Farm Ollie Day? Elm Farm Ollie became the first cow to fly, when she took a flight over the city of St. Louis, Missouri, on February 18, 1930. During the flight, she also became the first cow milked in flight. This was done ostensibly to allow scientists to observe midair effects on animals, as well as for -- obviously -- publicity purposes. ;-)
